Over a year after he was first announced as the club’s first-ever player, Frank Lampard finally made his New York City FC debut on Sunday, coming on for Andrew Jacobson in the 69th minute of NYCFC’s match against the Montreal Impact at Yankee Stadium.
Lampard will have some work to do in order to get a result out of his first MLS match – NYCFC trailed 2-1 when he entered the contest.
UPDATE: Lampard and NYCFC weren't able to complete their comeback, trading late goals with the Impact to fall 3-2 to Montreal. Find more coverage of the contest in the MLSsoccer.com Matchcenter.
