After an Atlanta United player tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, June 18, the club announced that a second player tested positive on Friday, June 19. Neither player was identified, and they've both been asymptomatic and in isolation.
The team conducted non-contact, individual training sessions on June 19 and June 20, and will continue non-contact training on Monday, June 22. If negative test results for all players and staff are received Monday, the team will resume full team training on Tuesday, June 23.

Atlanta United and Inter Miami each announced that a first-team player has tested positive for COVID-19:
Atlanta United
The positive test result in Atlanta was reportedly confirmed following mandatory club testing, with no additional staff or players testing positive.
The player, who has not been identified, was asymptomatic and has been observing isolation protocols since the result. Atlanta United medical staff are working directly with local infectious disease specialists to treat him.
The team will conduct testing again on Friday morning, June 19, prior to the resumption of training in adherence with MLS health and safety protocols.
Inter Miami
It was a similar situation in Miami, where the club announced that a player tested positive for COVID-19 "following a round of mandatory club testing this week," according to the club's statement.
The unnamed Inter Miami player was also asymptomatic and he is being treated by a combination of club medical staff and local infectious disease experts.
The statement from the club revealed that the player "self-identified being in close contact with an an individual who showed mild symptoms during a health screening questionnaire administered daily to players."
Atlanta and Miami returned to full team training on Monday, June 8 and Tuesday, June 9 respectively.
In addition to the two Eastern Conference clubs, the other MLS clubs recently announcing positive tests include D.C. United (June 13), FC Dallas (June 3) and the Philadelphia Union (April 1), with Kacper Przybylko revealing he was the Union player to contract COVID-19. NYCFC announced on March 19 that a member of the club's sporting department tested positive.
