Philadelphia Union midfielder Danny Cruz is reportedly headed to the Norwegian Tippeligaen.
CBS Philadelphia reported on Tuesday that the 25-year-old is headed on a season-long loan to FK Bodø/Glimt of Norway’s first division.
After starting all 44 games for the Union since arriving midway through the 2012 season, the winger has recently seen diminishing playing time. Of his 26 appearances last year, 16 were off the bench. He didn’t feature in either of the Union’s first two games this season after suffering a preseason hamstring injury.

Bodø/Glimt is coached by former New York Red Bulls assistant coach Jan Halvor Halvorsen, who took over in 2013 and quickly led the club to promotion and then a 13th-place finish in the Tippeligaen last season.
Former Chivas USA and Montreal Impact player Zarek Valentin also features for Bodø/Glimt after his 2013 loan there was made permanent.
