Colorado Rapids Vice President of Soccer Operations and technical director Paul Bravo confirmed on Saturday that Uruguayan star forward Diego Forlan was "offered up to us," but the club apparently decided to pass on the offer.
Speaking to The Denver Post, Bravo declined to go into any details about the offer and said that other clubs were most likely also offered the 2010 World Cup Golden Ball winner who is currently player for Cerezo Osaka in Japan.

Forlan, 35, has long been rumored as a possible acquisition for MLS clubs. The famously blond goalscorer has earned his reputation as one of the best strikers in the world over the past decade, having starred at such powerhouse clubs as Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, and Inter Milan.
The Post article also claimed that Irish international Kevin Doyle, who has been a rumored transfer target of the club this month, was seen in the Rapids' offices this week.
