A report claiming that Toronto FC are in talks with former Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer about becoming the club’s next manager is “100 percent not true,” a club source told MLSsoccer.com.
Rumors of the possible move surfaced Tuesday after Solskjaer’s agent told Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet that the 42-year-old Norwegian was in touch with TFC about their head coaching position, currently held by Greg Vanney, but didn’t provide other details.
Solskjaer last coached at Cardiff but was let go in September following their relegation to the Championship.

Vanney took over in August last season following the departure of previous head coach Ryan Nelsen. TFC are currently in a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, sitting in fifth with 28 points from 20 matches following their 3-1 loss to the New England Revolution on Saturday.
