After spending most of the COVID-19 pandemic-imposed season hiatus at his Florida home, Toronto FC forward Jozy Altidore has returned to Canada to train with his club, but must wait out a two-week isolation period before re-joining full team training, according to a report Sunday from the Toronto Sun.

Altidore can currently train on his own on the side at TFC's facility in accordance with Canadian health protocols, according to the report.

Toronto GM Ali Curtis told The Toronto Sun on Sunday that the USMNT striker arrived last Wednesday, which means if he does not develop COVID-19 symptoms he could return to full-team training at the start of July, before the team is scheduled to fly to Orlando for the MLS is Back Tournament.

Toronto is drawn into Group C, and is set to play the Montreal Impact, New England Revolution and D.C. United.
