The Sons of Ben will soon hit the silver screen in Philly.
“Sons of Ben: The Movie,” the story of the Philadelphia Union’s famed supporters group that was instrumental in the club’s inclusion in MLS in 2008, will premier in the City of Brotherly Love on June 10. The film expands on the group’s creation in 2007 to advocate the league’s expansion to the Philadelphia area.
The film (view the trailer above) has already debuted at festivals in Japan and Spain, reports CBS Philly.

“This is a story about the Sons of Ben,” film director and producer Jeff Bell told CBS Philly. “Philadelphia Union are a part of that, but … this is a great Philadelphia story, so we want to celebrate just Philadelphia, especially the sports fans and everybody who partakes in the passion of the Philadelphia sports scene.”
The local premiere will take place at the Trocadero and tickets can be purchased on the film’s website.
