Minnesota United announced Wednesday the club has completed the transfer of midfielder Romario Ibarra to CF Pachuca, following an initial 13-month loan to the Liga MX club.
The 24-year-old Ibarra played 17 league games for the Loons after joining MNUFC in July of 2018.
He was a bit more regularly used at Pachuca, appearing in 20 matches — 12 starts — in league matches since his loan started, scoring four goals and adding a pair of assists.
Like MLS, Liga MX was halted by the COVID-19 Pandemic in early March, with the 2020 Clausura season eventually canceled.
