TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS:Report
Orlando City SC are among the clubs that have expressed interest in Olympique Marseille attacker Valere Germain, according to a report from French outlet France Football.
The Ligue 1 season was called complete after it was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March, with Marseille finishing second in the table. Playing out wide, Germain had two league goals and four assists in 25 appearances (14 starts).
The 30-year-old Germain has played center forward regularly during his Ligue 1 career, scoring 14 league goals for Nice during 2015-2016 and then 10 the following season for Ligue 1 champions Monaco.
He has struggled to produce equivalent numbers in three seasons with Marseille, however, and could be open to a move before his contract expires next summer, according to the report.
Orlando City's current options at striker include Dom Dwyer, Chris Mueller, Tesho Akindele, Benji Michel and Santiago Patino.
