TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS:Report
The New York Red Bulls are close to completing a deal to acquire Ghanaian forward Samuel Tetteh from sister club Red Bull Salzburg, according to a report from the outlet Sports World Ghana.
Negotiations are "far advanced," according to the report, and the dots would appear to connect. Salzburg are managed by former New York Red Bulls boss Jesse Marsch, and the Red Bulls have been searching for more stability in the attacking third.
However, Tetteh has played most of his Austrian Bundesliga football on loan at LASK over the past three seasons. He's coming off his most successful domestic campaign, having scored seven goals and added three assists as Lask finished fifth in the 2019-20 final table.
Internationally, Tetteh started every match for Ghana during the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup. He also has some scattered appearances for the full national team, including two in the 2017 African Cup of Nations and one in the previous FIFA World Cup qualifying cycle.
