TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report
Inter Miami CF have been linked to ex-Germany international defender Holger Badstuber, according to a report from German outlet Bild.
Badstuber, 31, currently plays for Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart, where he made 56 appearances across the past four seasons, but he was recently assigned to the club's second team.
He started his professional career with German giants Bayern Munich, where he played for their second team from 2007-2009, scoring seven goals in 56 appearances. From there he moved to the Bayern first team, where made 119 appearances from 2010-2017, also completing a 17-match stint on loan with Schalke 04 before making the move to Stuttgart.
Badstuber has also featured for Germany at the international level, picking up 31 career senior caps and featuring on the 2010 World Cup squad. He's primarily a center back, but is also capable of playing left back.
While it's an interesting rumor for the expansion side, this one might be unlikely considering the club's signing of Leandro Gonzalez Pirez and their depth at the position that includes Andres Reyes, Nicolas Figal, Christian Makoun and Roman Torres.
