TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report
It’s a new day, which means it's time for another player to be linked with a move to Inter Miami CF.
The latest to join the MLS expansion side's rumor mill is Pedro, the 32-year-old Chelsea winger who Simon Johnson of The Athletic UK reports has an offer on the table from Inter Miami, as well as clubs in his native Spain and China.
Pedro, who demanded a $30 million transfer fee when he arrived at Stamford Bridge from Barcelona in 2015, has been limited to five Premier League matches this season. He’s been hampered by a pair of injuries and last made a six-minute substitute appearance against Southampton on Dec. 26.
His last league start came almost a month prior to that against West Ham United, although he has been in the lineup for both of the club’s FA Cup matches. Pedro is in the last five months of his contract.
Goal.com had previously reported New York City FC and Inter Miami expressed interest in Pedro, who has scored a combined 141 goals in 516 appearances for Barcelona and Chelsea. He’s also scored 17 goals in 65 caps for Spain, but hasn’t featured for La Roja since 2017.
Pedro has won 26 titles over the course of his storied career, including five La Liga championships and the UEFA Champions League three times.
The news of Pedro’s reported offer comes one day after Inter Miami’s reported interest in Monterrey’s Rogelio Funes Mori.
