All signs seem to be pointing toward Colombian attacker Michael Barrios as FC Dallas’ next big signing.
BigDSoccer.com picked up on some news out of Colombia that FCD are close to signing Barrios, who currently plays at the Barranquilla-based side Uniautonoma FC, as they look to replace the hole filled by departed Designated Player Andres Escobar.
The team later sent a tweet that indicated Barrios was indeed headed to FCD.
Barrios scored four goals in 16 appearances in Colombia’s first division last season. The small, skillful 23-year-old is typically deployed as a winger or second striker.
There was no official word from the club about the news.
