Real Salt Lake’s Sebastian Saucedo scored a goal to lead the US U-20 national team to a 2-0 victory Monday over Israel to finish sixth in the 2015 Stevan Vilotic-Cele Tournament in Serbia.

The US, playing in their first test of a new U-20 cycle, lost their previous two matches of the tournament, 3-1 against Serbia in the opener Sept. 3 and 6-1 vs. France on Sept. 4.

Both goals Monday came before halftime, with Saucedo drawing and converting a penalty kick and Israel conceding on an own goal off a James Murphy cross.

Of the eight MLS players called up for the tournament, Sporting Kansas City’s Erick Palmer-Brown, Real Salt Lake’s Saucedo and Justen Glad and Seattle Sounders’ Victor Mansaray all started Monday.

Next up for the US U-20s is the Four Nations Tournament in Germany in October.
