UPDATE (July 6):FC Dallas were withdrawn from the tournament given the impact on the club's ability to train and play competitive matches after 10 players and one technical staff member tested positive for COVID-19.
It will be a rematch of one of the best game's of last season's MLS Cup Playoffs when the Seattle Sounders square off with FC Dallas in Group B play of the MLS is Back Tournament on July 15.
Seattle will be coming off its opening match against the San Jose Earthquakes, while FC Dallas will have played its one game against the Vancouver Whitecaps.
That 2019 first-round match proved to be Seattle's toughest test on the way to their MLS Cup title, as FC Dallas gave the Sounders all they could handle at CenturyLink Field, erasing deficits of 2-0 and 3-2 before Seattle's Jordan Morris finally found the game-winning goal in extra time. It's always a hard-fought, competitive affair when these two teams get together, so don't expect much different when they meet in the tournament.
