After falling agonizingly short of the trophy on home soil in last year's final, the Philadelphia Union dive back into the US Open Cup with a visit from the USL's Rochester Rhinos at PPL Park on Tuesday night.
It's a tricky start for the Union: The Rhinos are undefeated in USL play thus far and have only given up four goals in 12 league games. But Union head coach Jim Curtin says his team have “unfinished business” with the Open Cup after the Seattle Sounders edged them out in heartbreaking circumstances last fall.
