PHILADELPHIA UNION vs MONTREAL IMPACT
PPL PARK, Chester, Pa.
June 27, 2015 (WEEK 17, MLS Game #169)
7 p.m. ET (MLS Live)

A critical match in the Eastern Conference is ahead when Philadelphia Union entertain the Montréal Impact at PPL Park on Saturday evening. The teams are separated by just a single point, both sitting just below the playoff positions, as the season reaches its halfway point, though the Impact have played five fewer games. Union are coming off a 1-0 win against Seattle Sounders FC in Chester at midweek, while the Impact kicked off MLS Heineken Rivalry Week with a 3-1 defeat by Toronto FC at BMO Field.

  • After netting the lone goal in the 5-1 defeat at the LA Galaxy on Saturday, C.J. Sapong has scored goals in three consecutive matches and in four of the last five games. The three-game goalscoring streak is a career-long.
  • Dominic Oduro scored his second league goal of the season – his first since May 9 – in the Impact’s 2-0 win vs. Orlando over the weekend.
  • The visiting team has never won in the all-time series between the teams. Union have won two of the four matchups at PPL Park, with two draws, including a 2-1 last Aug. 9 in the last meeting between the teams.
  • The Impact have won all four meetings between the teams at Stade Saputo, including a 1-0 victory last April 26 in the only encounter in Montréal.
