Coming off important midweek wins, the Philadelphia Union host the Montreal Impact at Subaru Park Sunday night.

The Union (9W-3L-4D) are second in the East, three points behind Toronto FC, following a 3-0 victory over FC Cincinnati at home Wednesday night, while the Impact (6W-8L-2D) stunned Columbus, 2-1, at MAPFRE Stadium and are level on points with seventh-place New York Red Bulls.

This is the second meeting between the teams this season with the Union thumping the 10-man Impact, 4-1, at Red Bull Arena Sept. 20.

Philadelphia Union

The Union rebounded from a loss to Toronto FC with a decisive 3-0 victory over FC Cincinnati in Chester Wednesday. Ilsinho changed the complexion of the game with an immediate energy infusion in the 53rd minute. Six minutes later he'd break the scoreless deadlock and Alejandro Bedoya and Jack Elliott followed with goals.

"We did our job," Jim Curtin said after the match. "It's not a game everybody's gonna remember, but a game that is a big three points, and a time in the year where everybody's desperate for points. We know that when other teams come in, they're going to want to try to take points from us, and then we want to try to fend them off and keep them behind us in the table."

Montreal Impact

The Impact followed a draw against Chicago with a 2-1 win over host Columbus after recharging their batteries back in Montreal after four consecutive defeats. Bojan scored the decisive goal from the penalty spot after Gyasi Zardes canceled out Lassi Lappalainen's opening goal.

“I believe in what I see," Thierry Henry said after the match. "Today we had a good game and we need to carry on doing that. It’s always a good one when you win at the end,” Henry said. “Could it have been better? Yes, obviously. But we had a solid game against Toronto and then we couldn’t capitalize on that, so let’s keep our feet on the ground.”
