With three victories and a draw in their last four games, the Philadelphia Union will be looking to continue their winning ways and remain within striking distance of Eastern Conference-leading Columbus Crew SC Sunday night when they host an Inter Miami team looking to bounce back from their heaviest defeat to date.
The Union (7W-2L-4D) are coming off a 0-0 draw against FC Cincinnati at Nippert Stadium, while Miami (3W-8L-2D) suffered a 4-1 homedefeat to the New York Red Bulls.
Philadelphia defeated Inter Miami 2-1 in the first-ever meeting at the MLS is Back Tournament with Kacper Przybylko breaking a 1-all deadlock in the 63rd minute.
Philadelphia Union
A three-match winning streak was snapped, but the Union picked up points for the 11th time in the last 12 games Wednesday in a 0-0 road draw against FC Cincinnati.
"With the turf, with the short rest, a zero on the road and a point is still positive," Jim Curtin said. "But overall, not our sharpest with the ball and that's something we need to work on and improve going into Miami."
On Wednesday, MLSsoccer.com's Tom Bogert reported the Philadelphia Union and RB Salzburg have reached a verbal agreement over the transfer of Brenden Aaronson. The Homegrown midfielder will remain with the Union through the end of the 2020 season before joining Salzburg.

Inter Miami CF
A Red Bulls team that had been reeling and struggling to create scoring chances put a season-high four goals past their former goalkeeper in Inter Miami’s most lopsided defeat and first home loss of their inaugural season.
“We didn’t start the game right. We didn’t respect our opponent,” Robles said in a video conference call after the match. “And any time you come onto the field thinking that it’s going to be a kickaround and that you can go through the motions and you’re such a good team that you can just play teams off the park, I think it’s the wrong mentality to have.”
There's a possibility Gonzalo Higuain could make his Inter Miami debut Sunday, coach Diego Alonso said.
"Gonzalo is working on the paperwork to be available,” Alonso told media. “We still don’t know what will happen for Sunday.”
“He already knows his teammates, he’s had several trainings with them and they’ve interacted on different drills,” Alonso continued. “We’ve talked a lot about the way we play, we’ve watched videos, and we’ve worked a lot. And If he’s available for Sunday, of course he’s going to travel.”
