Jozy Altidore's whirlwind week just got crazier.
A few hours after Toronto FC announced the 25-year-old as their newest DP and officially presented him in Toronto on Friday, news also came down of a USMNT call-up.
US Soccer announced that Altidore was named to the January camp roster on Friday, Jurgen Klinsmann's second addition in as many days after FC Dallas defender Matt Hedgeswas called in on Thursday, bringing the roster total to 29 players.
Altidore, who last played for the US in November 2014, will miss crossing paths with Seattle Sounders player Brad Evans, who has been forced to withdraw due to tendonitis in his left knee.
The USMNT training camp is highlighted by two friendly matches to kickstart a busy 2015: They travel to Chile (Jan. 28) and host Panama (Feb. 8) in the first two meetings of the year.
