TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report
A report in Brazilian publication Globo Esporte claims that an MLS club has made an offer to Brazilian forward Hulk, whose contract with Chinese powers Shanghai SIPG is set to expire on December 31.
Globo’s report claims that Hulk, who will be available on a free transfer in January, “has formal offers from European clubs, including two English Premier League teams, and from MLS.”
The 34-year-old starred for European sides Porto and Zenit St. Petersburg in Russia before a summer 2016 mega transfer to Shanghai SIPG for a reported 55 million euros.
Hulk, whose last appearance for the Brazilian national team came in 2016, has registered 51 goals and 31 assists in 100 matches for Shanghai since 2016, winning the Chinese Super League in 2018 and the Chinese Super Cup in 2019.
He penned the following Instagram message to Shanghai club supporters after his 100th game for the club last Wednesday. It was the final match of the league season for Shanghai, which clinched a third-place finish. The club still has Asian Champions League matches to be played in Qatar in November and December.
