The MLS Disciplinary Committee on Thursday announced fines for four different players in the aftermath of a busy Week 17 slate.
Columbus Crew SC midfielder Federico Higuain was fined an undisclosed amount for simulation in the 33rd minute of Columbus' 2-1 win over the New England Revolution on June 24 (VIDEO).
The Committee also fined Toronto FC defender Damien Perquis an undisclosed amount for embellishment in the 32nd minute of Toronto's 0-0 draw at D.C. United on June 27 (VIDEO).
In addition, the New England Revolution's Kelyn Rowe was fined an undisclosed amount for violating the league's policy regarding hands to the neck of an opponent in the 40th minute of the June 24 game against Columbus (VIDEO).
Lastly, Real Salt Lake defender Demar Phillips was fined an undisclosed amoount for failing to leave the field in a timely manner after receiving a red card in the 55th minute of RSL's 1-0 loss to the New York Red Bulls on June 24.
