FC Dallas defeated D.C. United 3-1 in the teams' second preseason game in less than a week, at Toyota Stadium on Friday.
D.C., who won the last game between the sides, in the ATX Pro Challenge final, played up a man for about an hour after Michel was sent off for a two-footed challenge.
But despite playing down a man, Dallas largely dominated proceedings, as Ryan Hollingshead notched the hosts' first goal shortly after the red card. Although D.C. did get back into the game, as Jairo Arrieta tied the game up midway through the second period, Dallas restored their lead through Fabian Castillo, before Tesho Akindele hit a penalty kick to seal the result.
