Sebastian Giovinco had a dream first season in MLS.
The Italian international notched an astounding 22 goals and 16 assists, helped Toronto FC to their first-ever playoff appearance and won the Landon Donovan MVP award, the first player to win the honor in his first year in MLS since Luciano Emilion back in 2007.
Given all that, it's no surprise that the former Juventus midfielder isn't planning on leaving TFC anytime soon.
"I want to finish my career in [North] America, that is my dream," Giovinco, 28, said in an interview with Sky Sports Italy. "I am very happy where I am, it's true that I miss matches like Juventus vs. Fiorentina, but I'm doing very well here."
The 5-foot-4 superstar was linked with FC Barcelona over the offseason, but those rumors were dismissed by his agent.
Before coming to MLS, Giovinco spent the majority of his career with Italian giants Juventus. He spent three seasons on loan with Empoli and Parma, but appeared in 132 games for the Turin-based club, scoring 20 goals over six seasons with the team.
