Tuesday marked the final official media availability for Toronto FC after the club was eliminated from the Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs last week by rivals Montreal Impact.
It was a disappointing end to an otherwise successful season. TFC, of course, reached the postseason for the first time in 2015, after finishing 6th in the Eastern Conference with a 15-15-4 record.
But forward Jozy Altidore, who finished his first season at BMO Field with 13 goals in 26 regular season appearances, sees room for improvement and on Tuesday expressed his thoughts on the tactical set-up for the club going forward, according to Toronto Sun reporter Kurt Larson:
TFC head coach Greg Vanney set up his squad in many different formations over the year, including 4-4-2 (both flat and diamond), 4-2-3-1, and 5-3-2 although Vanney's hand was often forced by injuries or international absences.
