Hey internet! I’m Rachel Bonnetta, the new video host on MLSsoccer.com.
On Friday, we're launching a new video show called Off Topic, starring yours truly. Yay!
The goal with this new show is to give you a unique view into the coolest, most exciting, off-the-field stories of Major League Soccer — a view that nobody else can bring you.
We’ll travel across the country — both countries, actually. . . . I mean, I am Canadian,...eh! — meeting supporters, getting to know players, visiting stadiums, and exploring this wonderful world of soccer passion we live in.
Along the way, we'll keep you updated on what’s going on in the social-media world. For example, which players are must-follows on Twitter? Who’s got the best pics on Instagram? Is someone making fun Vines? Snapchat, anyone? We’ve got you totally covered!

There are so many great hidden stories out there in MLS that still need to be told. That’s why we chose to call the show Off Topic: We want to go beyond the white lines and beyond the obvious. For example, in the first episode, we head to Philadelphia to hang out with World Cup veteran and Union star midfielder Maurice Edu.
Mo — yeah, we’re on a nickname basis now — showed me a few of his favorite places in Philly, like where he buys his sneakers (you won't believe how many pairs of shoes he has) and, of course, where he gets a Philly cheese steak. And where I learn what happens when I ask them to hold the steak on my cheese steak.
So, that’s about all. We hope you dig Off Topic and that you’ll get involved! Tell us what you want to see, where we should go, who we should meet. We know that you have some of the greatest stories out there, and we’d love to tell them.
