Honduras released their final 23-man roster for the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup on Wednesday, according to Honduran outlet Diez, and only one MLS player made the final cut.
Houston Dynamo winger Boniek Garcia, 30, was one of the older players named to the squad as Honduras try to prepare for the upcoming World Cup qualifying cycle. The squad also includes former D.C. United Homegrown Player and 2010 MLS Rookie of the Year Andy Najar and former MLS players Johnny Leveron, Mario Martínez and Jorge Claros.
MLS players Roger Espinoza, Luis Garrido and Bryan Rochez did not make the 23-man squad, but all remain eligible to be called up when managers have a chance to shuffle their rosters prior to the quarterfinals.
Honduras have lost in the semifinals in four of the last five Gold Cups and have not reached the final since losing to the US on penalty kicks in the inaugural tournament in 1991.
