Soon-to-be Houston Dynamo striker Erick “Cubo” Torres highlights the Mexican national team’s 19-man, Liga MX-based roster for their upcoming friendly against the United States in San Antonio, Texas (April 15, 8:30 pm ET; Fox Sports 1, UniMas).

Torres, signed by the Dynamo to a Designated Player contract this offseason, is currently on loan with Chivas Guadalajara until this summer and has two goals in five appearances for Los Rojiblancos. It’s the first call-up of 2015 for the 22-year-old Torres, who scored his first senior-team goal in an Oct. 12 friendly last year against Panama.

Forwards Oribe Peralta of Club America, the El Tri fixture who has 16 goals in 36 appearances, and Eduardo Herrera of Pumas UNAM, a newcomer to the squad who scored the game-winning goal on his international debut March 31 in a 1-0 win over Paraguay, will join Torres as the only forwards called.

Pachuca midfielder Jurgen Damm also received his second senior-team call-up after making his debut March 28 against Ecuador.

Head coach Miguel Herrera also called in goalkeepers Cirilo Saucedo of Club Tijuana (one cap) and Jonathan Orozco of Monterrey (three caps) to the team consisting of a number of many newcomers and seldom-used players.

The roster does feature Cruz Azul veteran defender Francisco 'Maza' Rodriguez, who will receive his 99th cap with an appearance in next Wednesday's friendly.
