Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard have finally arrived in the US – and now you have a chance to take an inside look at the English legends before they likely make their MLS debuts this weekend.
FOX Sports 1 and MLS have teamed up to present “Gerrard and Lampard in America,” a 30-minute MLS Insider special edition that will air on FOX Sports 1 at 9:30 pm ET on Thursday night. The program, produced by nine-time Sports Emmy Award winner Hock Films, follows Gerrard and Lampard as they transition into MLS, Gerrard with the LA Galaxy and Lampard with expansion team New York City FC.
Longtime teammates on the English national team, Gerrard and Lampard will suit up together again in less than two weeks, as they were both named Commissioner’s picks for the 2015 AT&T MLS All-Star Game. The former Liverpool and Chelsea midfielders will face familiar foes at the ASG, as they and the rest of the MLS All-Stars will take on English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspurs at the Colorado Rapids’ Dicks’ Sporting Goods Park on July 29.
