FC Dallas winger Fabian Castillo entered the record books on Saturday with his opening goal nearly 30 seconds after kickoff at Toyota Stadium.
Castillo's goal against Toronto FC officially hit the back of the net after just 29 seconds, making it the fastest goal from kickoff in FC Dallas history.
But it only ranks in 16th place on the all-time MLS list for fastest goals from kickoff: Castillo was 21 seconds short of the MLS record set by Tim Cahill in October 2013, when he scored after just eight seconds at BBVA Compass Stadium.
