A pair of clubs looking to return to their early-season good fortune meet when FC Dallas play host to Toronto FC on Saturday evening at Toyota Stadium. FC Dallas have suffered back-to-back losses after an undefeated beginning to their campaign, the last a 4-0 defeat by the Colorado Rapids in Frisco last weekend. Since winning their season opener, Toronto FC have lost three in a row, their last match a 3-2 loss at the Chicago Fire two weekends ago.


  • FC Dallas suffered a second consecutive defeat on Friday evening and their first this season at Toyota Stadium, falling 4-0 to the Colorado Rapids.
  • Toronto FC return to action after a weekend off, their losing streak extended to three games in their last match, a 3-2 defeat at the Chicago Fire on April 4. The FC Dallas match will be the fifth in the seven-game road swing to start the season for TFC, while BMO Field is being renovated.
  • In league play, FC Dallas have not lost to Toronto FC since 2007 – the first meeting ever between the clubs. FCD has won seven of the 12 regular-season encounters since, with five draws, including a 5-0-2 record all-time in Frisco.
  • The FC Dallas victory last April 19 at Toyota Stadium was the first win by either team in the series since July 20, 2011, when FCD won 1-0 at BMO Field.
