Former Major League Soccer player Clyde Simms detailed multiple examples of racism he suffered in his life and called for a collaborative change in a powerful Instagram post.
Simms, who played for D.C. United and the New England Revolution in a nine-year MLS career, said the current protests following the death of George Floyd provided the impetus for him to open up after a lifetime of teaching himself to “just bottle up certain things.”
