Part owner David Beckham shared a message with Inter Miami CF supporters after the 2020 MLS expansion club were officially eliminated from the MLS is Back Tournament in Orlando following a 1-0 defeat to NYCFC.
Inter Miami have now lost all five matches they've played in official competition in their inaugural season, the first MLS expansion team to drop its first five league matches. Beckham stressed the need for patience in building the club. Here's what he wrote on Instagram:
Sometimes the road is long and u need to take a breather .. Manchester United , Real Madrid , La Liga and the premiership wasn’t built in a day... Teams , players and clubs need time to flourish but when they do , all the hard times seem so distant... It’s important to take time to reflect on what we have achieved so far...
