Eric Gehrig sure is endearing himself to his new city. Then again, the Chicago-area native isn’t exactly a stranger around town.
But the newly signed Chicago Fire defender, picked up over the offseason after he spent his first four seasons in MLS with Columbus Crew SC, will certainly be the envy of Windy City bachelors now that Chicago Magazine has named him to their "2015 Chicago’s Most Eligible" list.
The South Loop resident’s profile indicates he loves to spend time at the beach after practice sessions and is a Netflix binge watcher when the weather is bad.
His type? “Hardworking, fit women who stay positive.”
As for his ideal spot for a first date, well, you probably shouldn’t expect bottle service. Chicago’s famous pizzeria Giordano’s tops Gehrig’s list.
