Friday night's Philadelphia Union-FC Dallas match, originally scheduled for 7 pm ET at PPL Park, has been postponed due to safety concerns from poor weather conditions in the Philadelphia area.
The game will now be played on Saturday at 4 pm ET.
“We had every intention to play our match as originally scheduled, but the current weather conditions will challenge the safety of our fans, players, and staff, and they always will be our first priority,” Union CEO and Operating Partner Nick Sakiewicz said. “With a sunny day in the high 50’s forecasted for tomorrow, we look forward to welcoming everyone to a magnificent setting at PPL Park.”
There is a winter weather advisory for Chester, Pa., where PPL Park is located, as well as much of the surrounding areas, until 8 pm ET on Friday. Snow accumulations are expected to be 2-4 inches, much of which is expected to fall in the early afternoon making for dangerous traffic conditions.
All previously purchased tickets will be honored for Saturday's match. No refunds or exchanges are available, but if you have any further questions please feel free to contact Union Fan Services by calling 1-877-21-Union (Press 1 for Tickets, then 4 for Fan Services) or by email at FanServices@PhiladelphiaUnion.com.
The game can be viewed nationally in the United States on the Univision Deportes Network and on UnivisionDeportes.com, with either Spanish commentary or English commentary via the use of Secondary Audio Programming (SAP).
The rescheduled match will also be available to viewers in Canada and Mexico via MLS LIVE.
